The Korare Sampler

Meet the Microgreens Behind New Zealand’s Healthiest Food Delivery Box

There’s something about healthy food delivery boxes that make it so much easier to eat our greens, and with our nutrient-dense microgreens, it’s even better. These little wonders are so quick and easy to incorporate into a meal that you don’t even have to think about it. Just whip up a microgreen stack to accompany any weeknight dinner, drop them in your smoothie, or create a meal all your own with these beauties.

Thanks to the sheer nutrient density of microgreens, you’ll get all the same vitamins and minerals delivered by larger vegetables in smaller packages. Not to mention, our microgreens come to your door alive, and you harvest them whenever you’re ready to use them. Since living food retains its nutrients much better than that of harvested, supermarket greens, you can trust these microgreens are doing the very most for your health.

Our flagship item – the Korare Sampler – is a seasonal collection of our top six microgreen varieties. Sometimes you’ll get something a little extra, depending on the season, but you’ll always have access to the usual suspects. Speaking of which, let’s meet them.

The Usual Suspects: The Korare Sampler Line-up

Sunflower Microgreens

First up, we have sunflower. These delicious plants are grown from the well-loved sunflower seed, a treat enjoyed by many for its nutty flavour. Happily, that nutty flavour is also present in their microgreen form, lending a delightful earthiness to any dish they garnish. These beauties are excellent sources of protein and fibre, with a big calcium boost to top it all off.

Nutrients:

Vitamins A, B complex, D, and E, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus.

Broccoli Microgreens

Next up are broccoli microgreens, the nutritional powerhouse of the Korare Sampler. Standard broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable known for its nutritional benefits, and its microgreen counterpart delivers on that nutrition ten-fold! Great for supporting digestion, muscle growth, and your recovery, broccoli microgreens are a valuable addition to any meal.

Nutrients:

Vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, sulforaphane, and phosphorous.

Kohlrabi Microgreens

Third in the box are our red cabbage microgreens, a delicious, slightly spicy, crunchy green that’s chock-full of phytonutrients. These essential little nutrients promote communication between our body’s cells, promote immune system strength, and detox the body of unwanted chemicals.

Nutrients:

Vitamins A, C, beta- carotene, calcium, folate, and phytonutrients.

Rocket Microgreens

Rocket lives up to its name with its peppery taste, adding a subtle kick to every meal. Packed with chlorophyl, glucosinolates, and beta-carotenes, rocket microgreens are excellent for your eyesight and immunity. Studies have also shown that these are the greens most helpful for people fighting cancer.

Nutrients:

Vitamins A, B complex, D, and E, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus.

Radish Microgreens

Even if you’re not a huge fan of radishes, you’ll love these spicy leaves for their colour, their verve, and their taste. Radish microgreens are bursting with vitamins, calcium, and iron to build immunity, strengthen bones, repair muscles, and increase energy (which we all need a little more of).

Nutrients:

Vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, calcium iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, and essential amino acids.

Kale Microgreens

Finally, our kale microgreens are smaller versions of the newest superfood on the block. Everyone loves kale for its health benefits – including its huge antioxidant concentration – but most people can’t get past the taste of adult kale. Struggle with those bitter greens no more thanks to these tasty, bite-sized counterparts.

Nutrients:
Vitamins A, C, and K, antioxidants, iron, and copper.
